Men’s Wednesday wrap

Posted on: 11 April

It was  a great day for golf on Wednesday, though a bit cooler than we have got used to recently.  It was the short course and front tees, but the scoring wasn’t as hot as has been seen in last few months.

Best round of the day was Mick Gage(20) with 44pts that won him C grade and second spot in the 2ball, scoring 48pts with Bill Balneaves(19).

A grade went to Tony Tully(5), from Darren Chivas(2) & Matt Overton(10) who all had 39pts.

B Grade went to Greg Evans(14) who had 41pts from Anthony Borg(16) and Frank Serra(17) who both had 37pts.

C Grade went to Mick Gage, followed by Richard Korff(19) with 42pts and Richard Phillips(23) on 40.

D Grade went to Bill Allen(30) with 41, followed by Joseph Whelan(26) on 40 and Wayne Hayward(25) who had 39.

Darren Chivas won the scratch with 37pts, ahead of Scott Bennett & Tony Tully on 34pts.

Ball winners needed at least 35pts (CB). NTPs to Aidan Cuddington, Neville Doak, Ken Overall, Mick Gage (a good day for Mick) and William Harper.

The 2BBB was won by Greg Evans(16) & Mark Wilson(14) who had 50pts, with balls down to 43pts (CB)

The greens are coming back nicely, so please take care to repair your plug marks so that we can all have a great surface to putt on. Please also return bunker rakes to their marked spots once you have finished your repair work.
