Men’s week ending 26 May

The weather has been amazing, perfect for golf – then you add a course in superb condition and you a lot of happy golfers! Though when looking at the results it has been tough out there and a good score had to be earned by very good play.
On Wednesday 22nd the winners were A: Matt Anthony (12) 37pts, B: Ian Foster(18) 43pts, C: Keith Ashworth(21) 42pts & the best score of the day D: Douglas van Vliet(35) 46pts. Kirt Anthony picked up the Single scratch with 34pts. The 2B aggregate was won by Douglas Van Vliet & Keith Ashworth with 88pts, hard to beat a team with two grade winners! This was the second last round of the Autumn Cup and the leaders going in to the final round are:
A: Darren Chivas 217, Matt Anthony, Dennis Stillaway & Col McCracken 215
B: Kevin Condren 214, Denis Holland & George Williams 213, Bill Mossman 212
C: John Malone 217, Michael Gage 214, Aidan Cuddington & Geoff Kill 211
D: Wayne Hayward 227, Andrew Friend 220, Jeff Gilholme 218, Norman Wilson 214
Friday scores were highlighted by Michael Prichard(12) who won A grade with 43pts, B: Kevin Gleeson(15) 37pts, C: Peter Batty(20) 38pts & D: Gordon Forsyth(29) 41pts. The 2BBB was won by Mike Dwyer(23) & David O’Sullivan(22) who had 49pts. The Scratch 2BBB went to Aaron Walters & Kirt Anthony with 38pts.
Kaine Andres(5) had a great two under par round to win A Grade with 43pts on Saturday. B: Michael Quilkey(16) 39pts, C: David Rooney(23) 42pts & D: Denis Parkes(29) 37pts. The teams 2 score event went to Ben Orman(33), Bruce Shipton(10), Marcus Dowling(25) & Paul Wilkinson(13) with 93pts.
On Sunday A Grade went to Daryl Creighton(17) 38pts and B Grade to Callum Edwards(27) 42pts. The medley teams 2 score event was taken out by Ray Wicks(21), Col Casey(24), Ambrogio Favero(24) & Douglas Yeend(17) who had 93pts.
A special mention to Denis Holland & Mick Clune who are members of our Mens Master Pennants team, they both had their first victories representing the Club last Sunday when our team had a win over Mangrove Mountain.
