It was a golf marathon with competitions on all 4 days of the Easter long weekend. Really good numbers in the competitions and also pleasing to see a lot of social players in the afternoons. Hopefully some of those will make the step up to being full members of the Club.

On Friday Chris Kem(11) won A Grade with 41pts and Zac Wilkins(8) 40pts the runner up. In B Grade it was Tom Campbell(19) 41pts from Paul Bish(21) also with 41pts. The medley 2B went to Callum Edwards(32) & Luke Gregory(12) with 48pts on a countback from John Fleming(13) & Terry Ungerer(35). Darren Chivas had the best scratch score over Easter with 37pts

The Saturday comp also had the iBidOnStorage Family event that has a separate post detailing those results. A grade went to David Faidley(11) with the best score of the weekend 44pts, B Grade to Adrian Daley(17) 38pts, C Grade Neil trickett(20) 39pts and D Grade to Warren Lynch(30) 41pts. The medley event went to Phillip Lynch(26) & Warren Lynch(30) who had 49pts.

Grant Ives(20) was a big winner on Sunday with +6, 4 ahead of the next best score. The Mens 2B went to Graeme Paterson(7) & Robert Wilkinson(19) who had +11. The medley 2B was won by David Grimish(10) & Abigail Grimish(17) on +8.

The weekend wrapped up with a double win to David Carr(16) who won the singles with 41pts and teamed up with Greg Steel(35) to take out the medley 2B with 48pts.

There is a medley event available on Anzac day, and don’t forget that this Saturday is the first of the two qualifying rounds for the WIlsons Realty Club Matchplay Championship. Top 8 players in each grade over the two consecutive Saturday stroke rounds will qualify for the matchplay quarter finals on 11 May.
